Disable WhatsApp read receipt - Jamaican style

1.    When you get an incoming message notification from Whatsapp on your phone do not tap the notification or open the app

2.    Go into your phone settings app

3.    Enable Airplane Mode. The airplane icon should appear on your status bar.

4.    Now you can read the Whatsapp message without fear.

5.    When you have read the message close Whatsapp from the app switcher (double click the home button)

6.    Now that you have finished remember to disable Airplane Mode.

7.    This messy trick ensures the blue tick marks will not appear on the senders device once you have read their message.

HP 4200 Broken Fuser Unit Latch Clip

The HR department's print device was plagued with a lot of paper jams this morning and a loud grinding noise was coming from the device.

I noticed that the paper went pass the toner cartridge but never quite made it through the fuser assembly.
On close inspection it was revealed that the fuser unit had a blue locking clip on the right side near the gears that was broken.

More research led me to find out that this was a prevalent problem with HP 4200 series although I can neither disprove or prove this, because this is the first time I have encountered the problem.


My assumption was that maybe someone pull a little bit too much on some paper that may have been stuck inside of the unit, of course the people using the printer were reluctant to agree with my theory.

The Intro

In my mind is a great deal of information that I would wish to share with everyone interested to learn something new. However I am going to start out with what little I remember from Marketing class. I have decided to target a niche that I am most familiar with and that is Information technology.
Let me start with a short introduction of myself. My name is Michael Richard Burke, I am a Network Administrator/Fumbler employed with the Jamaican government. I have been in the Information Technology support field since Windows 95 came out and I have held such positions as Client Support Technologist, Computer Repair Technician, Computer Monitor and Laptop Repair Specialist, Network administrator, Server Support Specialist and technology Support Specialist. I am a MCP and I am near to finishing my MCSE , I have also earned accreditation from various other bodies apart from Microsoft. I have good knowledge of Cisco Switches, Routers, Firewall Devices and various Network Management Software.
